I like the ink flow better than pens, but they seem to bleed like crazy and I lose some detail with them. I think they're easier to control than the brush.
Consider your paper. Also, I find that if you've done a lot of erasing prior to inking, you'll also get a lot of bleed, even if you're working on good inkable paper. You may give Borden & Riley Bleedproof #234 paper for pens a shot before you completely abandon nibs. Just because I hate them doesn't mean you can't grow to love them. I also prefer the look of quilled vs. pen lines (yes, I can tell).

DeleteGah, I hate nibs, but if I'm using them, you can't get your paper smooth enough for me.
