Predator ... an incredibly late entry to the topic

"Predator" ... acrylic gouache on 11"x14" aquabord by Robert Elrod. Yeah, it's very late but it's a painting and sometimes those take a while to finish (or to get back to to finish). Hope you like it!

Predator kisses

Valentine's Day comes early. Or something.

P R E D A T O R

So I did a Sketch Jam for the Predator pick this week. I wanted to do an ink but I got really sick after Christmas and I have been dragging ass all week, so I figured I better just do a sketch and make sure I actually did this weeks topic. Yeah I have like draining and a sore throat so I was kind of making those purring sounds the Predator makes, so that was kind of funny. Most likely this will be our last posts of 2012 so lets see em folks!

"Pokelien!"

I must admit that I never really watched the show. My kids did when they were younger. I never really got it. Maybe that's because I grew up with Johnny Quest and superheroes battling it out in their underwear. The whole cutesy Japanese cryptozoological beasts didn't click with me. That said, I really enjoyed doing this piece. I have to give thanks to Jeff Herndon for suggesting this mashup, whether it was inadvertently or not. :-)

"Pokelien!" ... ink, ink wash, liquid watercolor and markers on 11"x15" illustration board by Robert Elrod.

Now I kinda want to draw him looking into a poke ball while wearing his space suit. Haw!

"Queen"

Who you callin’ bitch?

Colored pencil (white) on black (Strathmore Artagain) paper by Robert Elrod. Measures approximately 9"x9" or so.

How are ya?!

It was great to see everybody at the con!

"Until the Last Light"

Here's my "settings & environments" piece. It was done with ink, ink wash and liquid watercolor on 15"x11" illustration board. Hope you enjoy it!

All the best!
Robert

Thark Week

That's right! Stay out of the water. Er ... um. Stay out of the sun! Yeah. The sun. It's "Thark Week". Gah!

Kanamit Cooking Channel

Welcome to the Kanamit Cooking Channel with your host Thomas the Siamese Triple! Yeah, I cheated and did the old 2 guys standing behind the one guy with their hands shoved through his robe trick. Enjoy!

It's a cookbook!!!!!!!

This one was a lot of fun! I might have to color it sometime. Well who's up next?! :D
